Breaking News: Canada inviting 1.5 Million PRs by 2026 

Application procedure of PGP program:

 

Under the PGP program, the applicant pays $1,050 to sponsor parents or grandparents, which takes up to 23 months to process.

 

Once the Canadian citizen or permanent resident has submitted an interest in sponsoring these relatives, they will be sent an ITA and must submit two applications to PGP:

 

  • the sponsorship application
  • the permanent residence application

 

Eligibility requirements to sponsor parents or grandparents:

Specific criteria need to be fulfilled to support parents or grandparents:

 

  • Receive an ITA

  • At least 18 years old

  • Canadian Residency

  • Either be a Canadian citizen, Canadian Permanent Resident or Indian registered under Canadian Indian Act

  • Proof of sufficient funds to support parents or grandparents.  

  • Proof of income

  • Meeting all the requirements.

 

IRCC notifies the applicants to keep their information current to avoid delays or any refusal in the procedure.

The IRCC notifies applicants to stay updated with the details given below:

  • Changes in relationship status

  • Birth of a child, or adoption

  • Death of a dependant or an applicant

  • Contact information like phone numbers or e-mail addresses.
