FAQ
Is it possible to work in the United Kingdom as a dependent?

Yes, under the Tier 2 Dependent Visa stream, they are permitted to work in the United Kingdom. According to the rules of your job contract, they will be able to work before your Dependent Visa expires. The application for dependent status would be reliant on your partner/spouse. As a result, when the Primary Visa holder’s term expires, the dependent’s term expires as well.

How long would it take to get a Dependent Visa in the United Kingdom?

It takes roughly 12 weeks to process a UK Dependent Visa application if you apply from outside the UK. It is conditional on the applicant’s immigration history. If the application is sent from within the United Kingdom, it takes roughly 8 weeks.

What are the conditions of the Dependent visa?

If you have a Dependent Visa, you will not be able to use public funding. You must show that your sponsor has the financial means to assist you and that he or she is willing to fund your stay until your application is approved.

If your Dependent Visa application is approved, you will be granted permission to enter the UK and will have permission for unrestricted stay in the country. There are no restrictions on your job path, so you can work wherever you want.
