Nova Scotia Occupations in Demand
This stream is meant to invite workers with a job offered by an employer in Nova Scotia. The job must be from an in-demand field. The following are the only occupations this stream supports currently:
- NOC 7511 – Transport truck drivers
- NOC 3413 – Nurse’s aides, orderlies, and patient service associates
Nova Scotia Labor Market Priorities
Immigration candidates with very experience of working in very high-demand positions in Nova Scotia are chosen under this stream. As of August 2018, only the following occupation is considered for applications from experienced candidates:
- NOC 4214 – Early Child Educators & Assistants
Nova Scotia International Graduate Entrepreneur
This stream is designed to invite candidates who recently graduated from colleges and universities in Nova Scotia. These graduates have either set up or bought a business in the province and operated for a minimum of 1 year. Applicants who meet these criteria along with an intent to permanently settle in Nova Scotia may be considered eligible for a provincial nomination for Nova Scotia PR via this stream.
Nova Scotia Entrepreneur
Immigration candidates who are experienced senior business managers or business owners ready to make an investment in a business in the province. They will be managing that business too. Those with a significant net worth willing to use their expertise to run an existing business or start a new one in the province will be eligible to apply under this stream.
After running the business for a minimum of 1 year, applicants stand a chance to get nominated for Canada PR. This is how the Nova Scotia PNP program works for this stream.
Nova Scotia Physicians
This stream is where Nova Scotia finds immigration candidates with a valid job offer from a health organization in Nova Scotia get nominated. The skilled candidates who arrive in the province through this stream will help meet the labor requirements in the public health organizations in the province.
Nova Scotia Skilled Worker
Foreign workers and international students who recently graduated from Nova Scotia with in-demand skills are invited into the province via this stream. Once a skilled foreign worker gets a job offer from an employer in Nova Scotia, the candidate could file an application via this stream. This will lead to their Nova Scotia PR.
Nova Scotia Experience: Express Entry
Nova Scotia Express Entry is aligned with the federal Express Entry system of Canada immigration. Via this stream, highly skilled people willing to reside and be employed in Nova Scotia on a permanent basis are invited to immigrate. Those who qualify are the ones with a minimum work experience of 1 year working in the province. They must have been working in a high-skilled job.
Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry
This stream is also aligned with the federal Express Entry system. To qualify for this immigration stream, the candidate must have:
- Experience working in one of the in-demand works in Nova Scotia, or
- An offer for a job from an employer in Nova Scotia
