Job vacancies in Canada increased to 656,700 in February, up by 21,800 (+3.4%)

The payroll employment in February in public administration rose by 0.5% with following increase by +0.5 % in January.The payroll employment increase in administrative sectors focused on local, municipal and regional public administration (+4,600; +0.9%).So, overall payroll employment in public administration increased by 56,500 (+4.5%) in February.
In February, payroll employment in Public administration increased by 6,600, +0.5% compared to January.

IRCC to hold more French category based Express Entry Draws in 2024.

IRCC will issue 78.5% ITAs to Express Entry draw candidates for category-based draw and 21.5% ITAs for general draws. Here is the detail of the distribution:

As per the Labour Market Information Council report, French Language proficiency was marked as essential.The French-speaking applicants had higher employment rates. IRCC also noted that all candidates have the right to use their language, either French or English.
Since July 2023, French Language proficiency draws have invited 17,300 ITAs for any category. IRCC ensures that French-speaking candidates at least meet the mandatory target of 4.4% of francophone newcomers.
IRCC planned Express Entry draws in 2024. Until now, in 2024, IRCC has conducted one general draw and one category-based draw every two weeks.
As per the current Immigration Plan, IRCC will welcome 110,770 immigrants in 2024 and 117,500 in 2025
In recent months, Express Entry Draw has seen higher scores of general draws, with lower scores of 524. Some category-based selection draws have lower scores, such as 336 for a French-language proficiency draw.

U.S. Opens Doors: Apply Now for the Citizenship and Integration Grant Program

USCIS announced the application period for the Citizenship and Integration grant program. This Citizenship and Integration grant program will provide funding for the citizenship preparation program.
The Citizenship and Integration Grant program is a 16-year-old program that will provide $10 million in grants to support immigrants.
USCIS excepts to award 40 organizations with up to $300,000 every two years to expand availability of high-quality citizenship and integration services. This grant provides funds to government and private organizations that will offer proper procedures for citizenship applications to permanent citizens. The application date is till June 21, 2024.
From 2009, the USCIS Citizenship and Integration Grant program has supported $155 million via 644 grants to immigrant services. These grants help support more than 300,000 immigrants in 41 states and the District of Columbia.
