Hubertus Heil, the Federal Minister of Labour and Social Affairs of Germany stated, “There is a possibility that the country might need at least 240,000 skilled workers by the end of 2026.”

“ The reasons for labor shortages emerge from three factors which are; Digitalization of the economy, the Ukraine war, and the pandemic, often bringing new challenges to the labor market.”

Hubertus Heil also said, “the lookout for skilled laborers is the prime concern. As our country requires skilled labor to handle the digitalization of the economy.”

For the first time in November 2021, Germany has declared that it is set to welcome citizens from non-EU countries, who will be offered dual nationality. Earlier, dual nationality was provided to individuals in a few circumstances.
