How can a Creative Services Director migrate to Canada?

There are two major ways through which a Creative Services Director can migrate to Canada:

  1. Express Entry
  2. PNP or Provincial Nomination Program

Detailed information about the immigration pathways is given below:

  1. Express Entry

Express Entry is an online system framed by the government of Canada to organize and manage applications for overseas skilled workers, such as Creative Services Directors who want to immigrate to Canada and gain Canada PR or permanent residency status. The system operates 3 primary federal economic programs:

  • FSW or Federal Skilled Worker
  • FST or Federal Skilled Trades
  • CEC or Canadian Experience Class

For a candidate to be eligible for Express Entry, they are required to fulfill the following criteria:

  • Have a minimum of 1 year, in the past 10 years of full-time or similar part-time work experience in the related field
  • Demonstrate proficiency in English or French by scoring the required mark in CLB or Canadian Language Benchmark
  • Complete post-secondary studies that are evaluated against Canadian standards by an Education Credential Assessment
  1. PNP or Provincial Nomination Program

The constitution of Canada permits the federal authorities of provinces and territories in the country to share the power to process the immigration system.

The PNP or Provincial Nominee Program facilitates Canadian territories and provinces to nominate international individuals who want to migrate to Canada and settle in a specific province. The Canadian province, Quebec has the autonomy to sets its eligibility criteria to address socio-economic issues.

The PNPs have a minimum of one immigration stream that lines up with the Express Entry system for selecting immigrant candidates. Provincial nominations sent through these streams are known as 'enhanced nominations'.

The enhanced nominations award candidates in the Express Entry system with an extra 600 points in the CRS or Comprehensive Ranking System. It essentially guarantees that they will receive an ITA or Invitation to Apply for Canada PR under Express Entry. Another benefit is that the candidates have their Canada PR application processed quicker, generally in 6 months, by the federal government.

The other way to gain Canadian permanent residence under the PNP is through a 'base' stream. Here, the candidate applies to the PNP stream directly and after they are nominated by a Canadian province, the federal government processes their application for permanent residence.

Here are the provinces and territories of Canada where Creative Services Director can apply for PNP:
