Saskatchewan PNP invited 528 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination on September 8, 2021. The chosen candidates came from the SINP sub-categories of:
The least-scoring candidate in this draw had 66 points on the EOI ranking system. Candidates from both sub-categories working in 16 eligible occupations found their way into this draw. They also required ECA to show that their educational qualifications could be equated to qualifications in the Canadian standard system.
Occupations In-demand sub-category
The candidates under this base PNP sub-category have no Express Entry profile.
They are highly skilled immigration candidates possessing the experience of working in an in-demand job in Saskatchewan. They also don’t have a job offer in Saskatchewan.
To file an application for Canada PR through this sub-category, immigration candidates are required to create an EOI profile via SINP's online application system.
Express Entry sub-category
This sub-category is connected to the most preferred system for Canada immigration: Express Entry.
The Express Entry system is designed with the purpose of managing applications from international immigration candidates. Such candidates will use this system to apply for 3 economic-class immigration programs namely FSWP, CEC, and FSTP.
These candidates already having an Express Entry profile will require an EOI profile too to participate in Saskatchewan PNP draws. That’s the way they shall be invited to file an application for a provincial nomination.
A provincial nomination from Saskatchewan brings 600 extra CRS points to these candidates. This almost assures them the chance of getting an ITA for Canada PR issued in a federal Express Entry draw coming up subsequently.
