Human Capital Priorities Tech Draws

Ontario mainly focuses on the occupations of the technology sector, by conducting tech draws from the Express Entry pool of the Human Capital Priorities stream. In order to qualify, the immigration candidates must have experience in any one of the six occupations.

Basic Requirements of the Ontario’s HCP stream

The HCP stream is mainly designed for the skilled workers who are willing to migrate, work and settle in Ontario. They are required to have proven abilities and skills in order to build their career and life in the province. The overseas applicants under the HCP stream are expected to meet the basic requirements mentioned below.

  • Must have an active profile under the Federal Express Entry system and qualify for the two programs;
  • Must have at least 1 year of full-time work experience, under the NOC occupation level 0, A, or B
  • Must have a Canadian bachelor’s degree or even higher
  • Proof of language proficiency of at least NCLC/CLB level 7 in French or English
  • An intention to live in Ontario
  • Must live in Canada with legal status, if applicable
  • Show evidence of sufficient settlement funds
  • Minimum Express Entry CRS score as decided under the period draws, by the director
