What are the Manitoba Immigration Programs?

Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program manages the immigration programs of Manitoba and processes the applications for immigration to the Canadian Federal Government. The provinces of Canada do not have the authority to issue Canada PR status but help the candidates for the provincial nominations.

If the candidate wishes for a nomination under Manitoba, they need to submit an EOI or Expression of Interest to the MPNP. It allows issuing of an LAA under any of the 2 streams given below:

  • Skilled Workers in Manitoba
  • Skilled Workers Overseas

Manitoba awards scores to candidates out of 1,000 based on their association with the province and human capital factors in the province.

What is the LAA?

If a candidate is issued an LAA or Letter of Advice to Apply, they will be able to log into their account and access the full application for MPNP.

The candidates have 60 days from the date of receiving their LAA to submit a duly filled application. The MPNP charges a non-refundable application fee of 500 CAD for Skilled Workers.

The MPNP is a permanent program of Manitoba to facilitate economic immigration for skilled workers and entrepreneurs.
