The basic purpose of ECA is to gauge the level of education you have as a foreigner in comparison to the educational standards of Canada.
|ECA is meant to verify that your foreign diploma, certificate, degree, or any other proof of your education is valid and has equals in Canada. The ECA report is supposed to show that the foreign certificate/diploma/degree that you have completed is equal to a Canadian secondary school/post-secondary credential.|
Where can you get ECA?
There are designated organizations that are responsible for issuing an ECA. Only those assessments that come from those organizations will be accepted by the Canada immigration system.
