Danielle Smith, the Premier of Alberta, Canada, is aiming to welcome more international individuals through AAIP or Alberta Advantage Immigration Program in the next 3 years. The nominations are expected to increase by approximately 67% by 2025.

Alberta is offering 100,000 job vacancies for skilled international professionals.
AAIP nominations are expected to increase from 6,500 to 10,849 by 2025. The immigration target for Alberta has been increased. The details are given in the table below:

Alberta welcomed 6,500 individuals in 2022. The province requires more immigrants to resolve the workforce shortage, boost the economy, and contribute to the community.
Since 2021, Alberta has added 120,000 jobs, and there are still 74,140 job openings. It is forecasted that there will be a requirement of 33,100 skilled professionals by 2025 in various sectors, occupations, and skill levels.
The Minister for Skilled Trades and Professions of Alberta, Kaycee Madu, believes that immigrants bring with them new ideas, skills, and vision to the workforce of Alberta. They also help in creating jobs, diversifying the economy, and contributing to the workforce in all sectors of the economy.
Through the AAIP, Alberta facilitates its Rural Renewal and Rural Entrepreneur Streams to aid local economies in the province by inviting immigrants to rural Alberta, where they can take up job roles outside the urban areas.
The AAIP offers new international individuals employed in any sector of any skill level with multiple pathways to gain PR or permanent residence in Alberta. International graduates, temporary foreign workers, and entrepreneurs are eligible for Canada PR.

The provincial as well as federal authorities plan to offer post-secondary education for everyone.
The Minister of Advanced Education in Alberta, Demetrios Nicolaides, plans to make post-secondary education in Alberta available and affordable to everyone. It would help them in gaining the skills and knowledge required for building careers in Alberta and mutually benefitting the international individual and the province.
Most of the international individuals are expected to come to Alberta through the AAIP, which is the Provincial Nominee Program of Alberta.
