Abstract:  More jobs have been added to the Federal Skilled Worker Program of Canada.

The FSWP or Federal Skilled Worker Program of Canada has been expanded. 359 new occupations have been added to the list of eligible occupations.

The amendment in the FSWP was facilitated by the changes implemented on November 16, 2022 when IRCC or Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, added 16 new jobs to the renewed list of eligible occupations through the worker immigration program.

Which occupations are eligible under the Canada FSWP?

More number of eligible occupations was added under the FSWP on the same day as the NOC or National Occupational Classification 2021 was implemented.

The list of jobs added to the list of eligible occupations under the FSWP includes the following:

Correctional service officers NOC 43201
By-law enforcement and other regulatory officers NOC 43202
Estheticians, electrologists, and related occupations NOC 63211
Residential and commercial installers and servicers NOC 73200

Other repairers and servicers NOC 73209

The 16 new eligible occupations require a college diploma, a training period of fewer than 2 years, or more than 6 months of training on the job.

Employment opportunities for skilled international professionals

International professionals wanting to apply for Canada PR or permanent residency under the FSWP are required to have 1 year of work experience in the last 10 years in jobs under TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 in the NOC 2021.

The applicants in this program should have the required proficiency in the official languages of Canada. To be eligible for the FSWP, a candidate requires a minimum score of 7 in the CLB or Canadian Language Benchmark and sufficient funds to cover their and the expenses of their dependents.

Payroll administrators in the changed FSWP

Payroll administrators from overseas are now eligible to migrate to Canada under the Federal Skilled Worker Program of the system of Express Entry.

Payroll administrators are professionals who have the following job duties:

  • Prepare paycheques
  • Collect and verify payroll information
  • Manage employees' benefits
  • Maintain payroll information

Organizations are seeking experienced payroll administrators. Employers looking to hire more professionals to address workforce shortage require more payroll administrators to manage an increased workforce.

There are 683 job vacancies for payroll administrators. The average annual income for a payroll administrator in Canada is 53,430 CAD.
