10 months or more and course ending in November / December If your course ending in December, validity of visa would be March 15.
10 months or more and the course ends between January and October The validity of the visa will be 2 months more than the duration of the course.
10 months or less The validity of the visa will be 1 month more than the duration of the course.

Important Announcement

Australia introduced New English language requirements for Temporary Graduate Visa and Student Visa

Australia has decided to change the English Language requirements for student and Temporary graduate visas. On 11 December 2023, these changes were announced, and they will be applied to all applications logged on or after 23 March 2024. The minimum score required for a Temporary Graduate Visa from the IELTS test increased from 6.0 to 6.5. The minimum score required for a Student visa for IELTS scores increases from 5.5 to 6.

Types of student visas

Subclass 500 (Student Visa): The student visa allows you to remain in Australia for up to 5 years to finish your full-time study at an authorized educational university that is in line with your education.

 

Student dependent visa

  • A student visa usually allows you to bring close family members as dependents on your student visa.
  • This is called a spouse or partner (including same-sex partners) who you have been living with for 12 months.
  • If you plan to bring your children, they must be under 18 years old or still studying in school.
  • An undergraduate degree allows the dependent partner to work for 40 hours each fortnight.
  • A post-graduate degree or a doctorate degree permits the partner to work for unlimited hours.

 

Processing time for Australia student visa

The time taken to process the Australian Student Visa is generally four weeks. You can apply for the visa four months before your course starts and travel to the country three months before your course starts.

 

Eligibility requirements for an Australia student visa

  • Enroll in a study course for full time.
  • Show the proof that you are a Genuine Temporary Entrant.
  • Provide Health Reports and Health Insurance.
  • Submit the results of English language proficiency tests like IELTS, TOEFL, and PTE. This test is chosen based on the course selected.
