New Brunswick offers a chance at Canada PR to PGWP holders

New Brunswick is giving the opportunity to eligible laborers in the province to apply for a provincial nomination so that they can go ahead and fulfill their desire to get a Canada PR visa.

The Skilled Worker stream of NB is offering PGWP holders who work in Canada in jobs of NOC D skill-level to take a shot at Canada PR. These jobs are the likes of cleaning staff, oil field workers, and fruit pickers. These jobs call for training on the job.

These workers can apply for NBPNP till April 30, 2021. The criteria they have to meet to get their applications accepted are as follows:

• They must meet all criteria for eligibility of the NB Skilled Worker stream
• They must be graduate of a post-secondary institution (DLI) designated by NB
• They must have a PGWP that they got after graduation from that institution in NB

More eligibility criteria for NB Skilled Worker stream

• The applicant could be a foreign national in or outside Canada.
• The applicant must have a full-time job offered in NB. It must be a year-round, permanent job offer in an occupation deemed eligible.
• The applicant must be willing to live in NB.
• The applicant must demonstrate that he/she is qualified to accept the position offered.
• The applicant must demonstrate that the wages offered are competitive as regards the job offered.
• The applicant’s employer must support his/her application.
• The score given under the NB Skilled Worker stream based on factors like education, age, and work experience must not go below 60.
• The applicant must be aged between 19 and 55.
• The applicant must have a CLB score of 4 in all abilities. Having language skills in English and French will earn them extra points.
• The applicant must have at least a high-school diploma. His/her educational credentials must pass an ECA that’s done within 5 years of application.
• The applicant must have at least a year’s experience at work if he/she is not graduated from a DLI with at least a 1-year degree, certificate, or diploma.
• The applicant may have work experience in sectors considered a priority. These may include education, business service centers, healthcare, transportation, and manufacturing.
• The applicant may have a connection to NB which will fetch extra points.
