IEC program is inviting youth to apply for a permit to work in Canada

Canada is accepting applications for the IEC program. Only fully vaccinated participants in the program will be allowed to travel to the country to live and work in Canada. This was announced by IRCC which manages the affairs related to Canada immigration.

What is IEC?

The International Experience Canada is a program that is created to help young skilled foreigners to travel to and work in Canada for not more than 2 years.

Under the IEC, there are 3 options available namely:

• Working Holiday
• International Co-op (Internship)
• Young professionals

What’s in the new announcement?

It’s an already ongoing process that eligible candidates from the IEC pools are invited to apply for a work permit to work in Canada. The invitation rounds will be held either until all the spots available are taken or the particular IEC season comes to closure.

In 2022, the program’s applicants are assured that any profile they created in 2021 or after the IEC season ended that year is still valid if they haven’t received an ITA yet. That means candidates aren’t required to create a new profile in the IEC pool for the 2022 season.

Under the IEC, it’s possible for Canadian nationals between the ages of 18 and 35 to live and work in any of the 40 nations that participate in the IEC program. Also, young people of the same age range can live and work in Canada, provided they come from those 40 countries which are listed below.
