How is the high Partner Visa fee affecting Indians in Australia?

Despite the expenses, many Indians still prefer Australia when looking for overseas partners. Sheeba, based in Ludhiana, India, is looking for an “Indian man settled in Australia” as an ideal match. She says that as long as her partner is settled in Australia, she has no problems shelling out the immigration fee. 

Sheeba is also aware that there are long queues for the Partner Visa of Australia as the wait times have increased. In spite of that, she says that making it to Australia is well worth the wait. 

Mamata Singh is an Australian citizen and is looking for a suitable Indian-origin groom for her daughter. However, she is often left disappointed as prospective grooms from India only want to get married as a shortcut to getting into Australia.
