An all-program Express Entry draw was conducted on November 25, 2020, in Canada with a significant feature to it. The draw saw Express Entry cut-off drop below 470 CRS points for the first time ever.

5,000 Express Entry candidates were sent ITAs for Canada PR, the most issued as yet in any single Canada immigration draw. The lowering of CRS scores could be a step towards making the Canada immigration visa a more attractive choice for international migrants.

With the latest draw on November 25, 2020, the total number of ITAs for immigration Canada issued in 2020 came to 97,350. A large number of ITAs Canada is issuing of late is indicative of the country being on track and committed to achieving its target of 400,000 new immigrants in 2021.

The tie-break rule applied in the November 25 draw used the timestamp of October 15, 2020, at 08:50:10 UTC. So, whomever candidate had a CRS score of 469 or more had to have submitted their Express Entry profile before the timestamp.
