The decline in numbers in the period before the pandemic struck in the US is largely attributed to cyclical demand. The suspensions related to the pandemic about routine visa services at embassies besides other restrictions are also projected as the reason for the decline in visa issuance.
The Joe Biden plans
The President-elect Joe Biden has plans to reverse the adverse effects on USA immigration due to the policies of the Trump administration. He has pledged to restore the naturalization process for the Green card holder and defend it.
He has also assured to preserve preferences for the system’s diversity. The diversity lottery has been the norm for the issuance of Green Card in the USA. The Trump administration has attempted to eliminate this system. By restoring this system, the US will welcome immigrants from all over the world instead of taking immigrants from only certain countries.
It’s expected that Joe Biden will reverse the most recent changes first. These include those changes that happened after the election. Priority is also given to restoring the faith in the US citizenship process. For this,few barriers in the way of the following have to be removed:
