The Global University Employability Ranking has been released for 2018. It ranks the Australian Universities which produce the most employable graduates as per employers. The ranking has been designed by HR Consultancy Emerging. The report has been published by Times Higher Education.

Nine Australian Universities have been listed in the ranking.

Here are the best Universities in Australia as per employers:

  1. University of Melbourne

The University of Melbourne ranks 1st in the list of Australian Universities. It runs a mentoring program twice a year, as per The Times Higher Education. The program brings current students together with alumni who mentor them. The mentors guide the students through their career decisions.

Students find the most relevant career advice through faculty-specific resources. They can also take self-assessment tests to determine which occupation is best for them.

  1. University of Sydney

Ranked 2nd, this University provides career fairs for certain subjects like engineering, law, IT, and investment banking. It also organizes startup career fairs for students interested in starting their own business venture.

Malcolm Turnbull, the 29th Prime Minister of Australia, is an alumnus of the University of Sydney. The University has also produced 5 other Australian Prime Ministers.

The University can also boast of producing 24 Nobel Laureates. It has also produced 24 High Court Justices and 24 Rhode Scholars.

  1. Australian National University

Located in Canberra, this University came in 3rd in the ranking. Students at this University can drop in to chat with a career counselor 3 times a week. The University also runs an online career development tool called the ANU Career Hub. The tool also includes career resources and jobs board.

The University also hosts regular career fairs giving the students an opportunity to meet employers from various fields.
