The Australia High Commission in India has warned of a Visa scam being perpetrated by a South-West Delhi employment agency. More than 50 individuals have contacted the High Commission in recent weeks after paying lakhs of rupees for an Australia Work Visa. They have been informed by the High Commission that they have been victims of another Visa scam. The High Commission of Australia is concerned regarding the increasing numbers of victims. It has advised aspiring visa applicants to be cautious when Visa Agencies offer Australia Jobs. The kind of Work Visa program being promoted by the scammers does not exist in Australia. The Australia TSS Visa is administered only with accredited sponsors said a Spokesperson for the Australia High Commission. It is also for only those applicants who possess the specific skills that are in demand in the nation, he added. A few of the victims of the Visa scam have said that they have paid Rs 50,000 for unreal airfare along with medical checks with an unaccredited clinic. This excludes the other fees that they have been charged. The scammers charge extra fees for job placement in Australia. At times, it is fake job offers utilizing names of real reputed Australian firms. Separate visa lodgment fees have also to be paid by them, as quoted by the Economic Times. The victims of the Visa scam also underwent medical checks at a South Delhi medical facility. It is not associated with the approved panel physicians of Australia.
