The employees can be hired through Temporary Foreign workers:

  • Employers can apply through two ways to hire:
  • Either through the LMIA online portal, which is a reliable and secure platform where an employer can complete an application to ESDC
  • Otherwise, if employers have proof of all valid exemptions to the LMIA online portal, they can mail a PDF application form from ESDC.

The REP status gives employers access to:

  • A simplified application process in future for LMIA applications for positions on the Canadian occupation projection list
  • The simplified LMIA form helps employers hire more temporary foreign workers.
  • A designation of job bank designation to show their recognized status will help them recruit prospective workers.

Other ways to attract immigrants to Canada:

  • The Canadian government hopes to attract more temporary skilled workers through TFWP and the International Mobility Program (IMP).
  • The Global Talent Stream (GTS) is only a part of TFWP, which, under normal procedure, can grant a Canadian work permit, and visa processing can be done within two weeks.
  • Employers can also bring in foreign nationals through the Express Entry system to fill available positions.

These also help the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSW), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FST), and Canada Experience Class Program (CEC), which all draw from the Express Entry pool of candidates.
