A Digital Marketer’s Tale- From Australia to Canada

A middle-class Indian, I couldn't qualify for the engineering entrance, despite attempting it twice. I completed my degree in B.Com. I relocated to Australia to pursue higher education.

When I was working part-time there, I was offered a content writer's role. Though I was not keen, I gave it a try. After undertaking this enterprise, I realized the prospects that digital marketing offered. I realized offline marketing had made way to online marketing.

I dived deep into the digital marketing arena. I wanted to understand more so that I could master it. I put in hard work, which didn't go unnoticed. While executing one of my contracts, a friend of mine suggested that I migrate to Canada to explore this field further.

Digital marketing

With the surge of smartphones and PCs, a lot of things are happening online rather than physically.

This is best represented by the fact that all organizations are disproportionately escalating their spending on digital channels to increase the revenues of their businesses.

My pathway

As a Digital Marketer, I had to work harder. This was, after all, the turf on which marketers honed their skills to reach out to new customers. At the same time, I needed advice on how I could attain the goal of making it to Canada. Expert guidance would always help.

I tried out many immigration consultants before zeroing in on Y-Axis. I was floored by their process, helpful, and able consultants. There is more to it than meets the eye when preparing your resume professionally and knowing how to go about it before submitting an application. They ensure that the application process is successful by tweaking it. It is the key to getting right on the first attempt.

Simultaneously, I tried to apply for suitable jobs in Canada. After landing a job offer, Y-Axis advised me to apply through the Express Entry system.

I realized that migrant workers with in-demand skills could gain permanent residency in Saskatchewan through its PNP program. Candidates can apply through three major categories, one of which is the Express Entry program.

Canada Express Entry system is one of the options through which migrant workers can opt for Its permanent residence visa. Designed for professionals, one of its main points is that it has three categories for migrants: Federal Skilled Traders Program (FSTP), Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), and Canadian Experience Class Programs.

This is an online program that is open year-long and does not have a limit on the number of applicants. All candidate profiles are assessed on points and put in the applicant pool, invitations to Apply (ITAs) are sent to those who bag the highest points, ITAs are granted based on the annual immigration levels, and points are determined as per Express Entry using the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).

The system's goal is to search for candidates who stand the highest possible chance of succeeding after migrating to Canada. The maximum score is 1200 on the points scale, which is arrived at by considering the age, educational qualifications, language proficiency, English or French, relevant work experience, and more.

*Ace your scores with world class coaching services from Y-Axis professionals.

You can register online for this by paying 300 CAD, a non-refundable amount. It is better to get your skills assessment completed before you apply for the immigration process. It also increases the chances of your eligibility to work in Canada from day one.

At present

I have relocated to Canada, where the society is multicultural and the office culture in Canada professional - of course, it varies in style from one region to another.

Please remember that after receiving an ITA from Canada Immigration, you need to fill it out and submit it within 60 days.

According to Canada's 2022-2024 Immigration Levels Plan, the country plans to welcome 832,000 migrant workers.
