In the third Express Entry draw held on March 30, 2022, Canada has invited 919 candidates who can apply for permanent residence in the country. IRCC has invited only PNP candidates in this round. The candidates need to have a Comprehensive Ranking Score of 785. This score is high because 600 points are given automatically to the PNP candidates when nominations are provided to them.
The candidates will get a period of 60 days to apply for permanent residence in the country. In the earlier round of the Express Entry draw, 924 PNP candidates were invited.

Extension of PGWP and other provisions
Regarding the resumption of CEC draw, Sean Fraser has not yet told any specific date. Since September 2021, the Express Entry draws for CEC have been paused. This is the reason that the CEC candidates are dealing with the problem of ending of the validity of their work permit.
Such candidates have to depend on Post Graduate Work Permit, which cannot be extended. These candidates will also not be able to obtain Bridging Open Work Permit. They have to adopt any of these three options left now:
- Get an LMIA supported work permit
- Quit their job
- Leave the country
No announcement has yet been made for CEC and Federal Skilled Worker Program candidates to prevent the expiry of their status.
