35,000 immigrants landed in Canada in January 2022

In January 2022, more than 35,000 permanent residents arrived in Canada, and this data has been provided by IRCC. New immigration levels plan

Under the new immigration levels plan 2022 – 2024, around 432,000 immigrants are to be invited in 2022.It is estimated that this number of invitations is the highest in history. The number was 405,000 in 2021. In January 2022, 65 percent of the immigrants belong to the economic class while 20 percent belong to family class.The remaining 15 percent belong to refugee and humanitarian class.

Leading programs

The leading program to invite immigrants is Canadian Experience Class,as 7,700 immigrants were invited through this program. The next program is Temporary Resident to Permanent Resident program, which has invited essential workers and international graduates, and 7,000 immigrants were invited through this program. Provincial Nominee Program is the third through which 4,400 immigrants are invited. The next is Federal Skilled Worker Program through which 2,600 immigrants have been invited.

According to IRCC data, Federal Skilled Worker Programapplications are being processed at a higher rate as it is the leading economic class immigration program.
