AUSTRALIA MATES VISA

MATES (Mobility Arrangement for Talented Early-professionals Scheme) is a pilot program of the recent Migration and Mobility Partnership Arrangement (MMPA) between India and Australia. It is aimed at offering 3000 temporary visas to young professionals per program year. The program will be offering a new mobility pathway for graduates from India and professionals who are in their early careers to live and work in Australia for up to two years. The Indian graduates and early career professionals must be having sufficient skills and knowledge in their relevant fields of study to be eligible for this program.

The eligible fields of study have been announced and will include engineering, financial technology, artificial intelligence, information and communication technology, agricultural technology, mining, and renewable energy.

MATES visa is a temporary visa program and is not a part of the permanent Migration Program of Australia and will be valid only for twenty-four months.

The new scheme will take recently graduated Indian students who studied in an eligible Indian university with a degree in a specific field of study.

REQUIREMENTS OF AUSTRALIA MATES VISA

• Below 31 years of age: You must be below the age of thirty-one to be able to take part in the Mobility Arrangement for Talented Early-professionals Scheme (MATES).
• Graduated from an eligible Indian university: The graduates and young professionals must have graduated recently with a degree in the specific field of study from an eligible Indian university.
• Specific Educational qualifications: The graduates and the early career professionals must be having an educational background in specific fields of study including The eligible fields of study have been announced and will include engineering, financial technology, artificial intelligence, information and communication technology, agricultural technology, mining, and renewable energy.
• Must be a recent graduate: The applicants must be fresh graduates from eligible educational institutions.
• Must be an early career professional: The young professionals applying under the program must be at an early stage of their professional career.
