What Documents Are Needed to Apply for a Morocco Tourist Visa?

  • Submit a visa application form. You should also give your phone and email details. This must be followed even if the submission is done by an agent.
  • Submit your original Passport that has a minimum validity of 3 months (counted from the submission date of the visa application) and a blank page. A copy of the first and last page of the passport is also needed.
  • Submit 2 photos. It must be passport size. It must have a white background. It must be a recent one. The photo must show your face clearly.
  • Submit an original covering letter with your personal/professional details.
  • Submit one of the following:
    • Your hotel booking details collected from an authorized travel agency
    • Recommendation of the ministry of tourism
    • The representation of the Moroccan national tourist office
    • Invitation letter duly legalized (stamp of ministry of foreign affairs or apostille) (if it’s a family visit, also submit warranty of support for expenses of medical care as well as possible repatriation.
  • Submit confirmed flight tickets.
  • Submit original bank statement updated for 3 months. It must be duly stamped and have the signature of the bank.
  • Submit travel insurance documents.
  • Submit a copy of your birth certificate.
  • Submit a photocopy of the document of identification in your native country.
  • Submit proof of occupation in the original.
    • If you are a salaried employee, submit the original NOC/letter of leave sanction on the letterhead of the company. It must be duly signed and stamped by the company’s authorized signatory.
    • If you are a self-employed applicant, submit proof of ownership of the business. Also, submit a covering letter on the company’s letterhead.
    • If you are a student, submit a letter from the educational institution that confirms that you are a bonafide student. This letter has to be original. It must also be duly signed, and the authorized signatory must have stamped it.

In case you are sponsored by someone your bank statement is not needed for submission. Submit the following:

  • The sponsor’s original bank statement
  • The sponsor’s letter stating that he will take up your expenses
  • The sponsor’s proof of occupation

Visa Processing Time in Morocco

In Morocco, visas are issued within 10 business days in the normal course. However, in certain instances, the process can take up to 30 days before you can get your Moroccan visa.
