If you are planning to visit this South-eastern European nation as a tourist, know the visa requirements for it. You are required to obtain a short stay type C Schengen Visa that will allow you to stay in Greece for a maximum of 90 days during a period of 180 days. You could tour, conduct business, visit family or friends, for medical treatment, and others during this trip. 

You may lodge an application for a visa up to six months before at least fifteen days before the scheduled trip date.

Eligibility requirements to apply for a Greece tourist visa:

A passport with a validity of three months 

  • Two passport size photographs
  • A photocopy of your filled-out and signed application form
  • Evidence of hotel bookings, airplane tickets, and a detailed itinerary of your stay duration in Greece
  • Evidence of sufficient financial resources to take care of your travel and stay in Greece
  • Bank statement of six months 
  • Evidence of medical insurance of €30,000 to cover the tour expenses 
  • A cover letter detailing the purpose of the visit to Greece
  • Proof of civil status, i.e., a marriage certificate, children’s birth certificate, etc.
  • Before applying for a tourist visa, ensure you fulfil the visa requirements and have the required travel documents.
  • Pay the required fees of €80 for adults and €40 for children aged from six to twelve.
