The Universities in UAE are divided into three intakes. But not all the universities are open to these intakes for international students. The three intakes are:

COST OF STUDYING IN THE UAE

The Tuition fees for private universities in UAE majorly depend on the location you choose. The most expensive cities might charge 35000 AED – 70,000 AED for an undergraduate program, whereas 55,000 AED – 75,000 AED for a postgraduate program per year.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM
  • Should have completed the secondary education or equivalent with the required average not more than three years previously. 
  • Must meet the secondary education grade requirements
  • Must have finished the application process as per the instructions of the University along with the required application fee.
  • Should have obtained the required cut-off score in the English proficiency tests (IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE Academic).
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR POSTGRADUATE PROGRAM
  • Should possess an undergraduate degree or an equivalent degree from a recognized university with a CGPA not less than 3.00. Sometimes the students with 2.5 CGPA – 2.99 CGPA are considered with limitations.
  • Must have a qualified bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study.
  • Should have obtained the necessary cut-off marks in English Proficiency tests (IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE Academic).
  • Must submit an attachment of the People of Determination card.
  • Must have work experience in the related field of study.

How much IELTS score is required for Dubai Student Visa?

It’s better to have 6 points overall in IELTS with no band less than 6.

How much does a Dubai Student Visa cost?

The student visa will cost AED 100 for the first time of issuing and renewal.

The application for a Dubai Student Visa can cost up to AED 3,000. You will also need to pay a deposit of AED1000.

The tuition fees will vary with the university you have joined to study in Dubai.

How long does it take to get a Dubai Student Visa?

Processing time for the visa will take from 2 to 4 weeks for a Dubai Student Visa process. Since admissions may depend on the processing timeline of the university/institute, it’s always recommended to apply 2 months prior to the intake.

Do I need a PCC/Medicals for a Dubai Student Visa?

PCC is not required to apply for a Dubai Student Visa. However, the student must complete the medical check-ups immediately after arriving in the UAE as part of a residence visa application. Medical fitness requirements are to be met mandatorily.

Can I leave Dubai while I am on a Dubai Student Visa?

Yes. You can travel outside Dubai. But no student can stay away from Dubai for more than 6 months. If they do, their Dubai Student Visa will be treated as invalid and remain canceled.

Can I take my dependents on Dubai Student Visa?

Resident visa holders in Dubai are allowed to sponsor their dependents (wife and children) or parents. However, this is linked with the financial status of the visa holder. The sponsor should have a monthly income of AED 4000 to be allowed to do this. So, for students, this may not be an option unless their financial status is proved.

How can a student get a residence visa after their studies to live and work in Dubai?

Governments of Dubai and UAE allow a 5-year long-term resident visa for students with an outstanding record. This allows them to find employment, get working rights, and settle in the country permanently.

If an employer is offering you a job, that employer can process the work permit and complete the residence visa procedures.
