How to Get an Employment Pass or S Pass

The Singapore Employment Pass is meant for eligible foreign professionals who have a job offer in Singapore. An employer or an appointed employment agent must apply on your behalf. The employer must ensure that the job offered pays you at least $4,500 monthly salary.

First-time candidates will get an S Pass with up to 2 years of validity. The visa can be renewed for up to 3 years.

The S Pass is for foreign professionals who:

  • Work in an executive, managerial, or specialized job
  • Have a job offer in Singapore
  • Have acceptable qualifications like a good university degree, professional qualifications, or technical skills.

 

About Dependent Pass

The Singapore Dependent Pass allows spouses and children of those who hold an S Pass to live with them in Singapore. Legally married spouses and children under 21 can apply for a Dependent Pass.

This pass has to be applied for the candidate by an employer or an appointed employment agent in Singapore. The validity of the Dependent Pass is two years and is connected to the fact of the S Pass.

 Those who obtain the Dependent Pass may be allowed to work in Singapore if they find a job.
