Are you willing to get employed in Australia after completing your studies there? If yes, then you have to learn more about getting a working visa Australia offers and the streams that you can get it through.

Now, even while you are studying in Australia, you could opt to do a part-time job. In Australia, if you are on a student visa, you are allowed to work for not more than 40 hours per fortnight when the term is on. During scheduled semester breaks, you can work unlimited hours. These facilities should address your desire to work in Australia while studying.

Any work you do which is mandatory as part of your study program won’t be counted in the 40-hour prescribed working time limit.

However, in case your voluntary work could have been taken up by an Australian citizen/resident, earning a wage in the process, your work will be counted in the 40-hour criterion.

Also, earning money from such a part-time job while holding a student visa won’t neglect the fact that you must have sufficient funds to pay for your education and living costs.

You will also have to obtain a TFN (Tax File Number) to work in Australia. Even if, in most cases, your part-time income will be below taxable limits, you should in any case complete a tax return when the Australian income year comes to a close.
