There’s help coming from the Australian Red Cross in cash payments for visa holders facing hardships due to COVID-19. These visa-holders include:

 	<li>International students</li>
 	<li>Refugees</li>
 	<li>Temporary visa holders</li>
 	<li>Visitor visa holders currently in Victoria</li>
</ul>
The beneficiaries must meet the following conditions to be eligible for the assistance:

<ul style="text-align: justify">
 	<li>They must reside in Victoria</li>
 	<li>They are unable to access International Student Emergency Relief fund or Commonwealth income support (including JobKeeper and JobSeeker payments)</li>
 	<li>They have no to very limited income, community support, or savings</li>
 	<li>They are temporary or provisional visa holders or undocumented migrants</li>
</ul>
The payments given will cover the basic needs. This includes medicine, food, and bills. Financial assistance of $400 may be made available to a single person. The amount paid to families would be even more.

<h2>Details of the Innovative Stream pilot</h2>

On 15th April, Canada announced the two-year Innovative stream pilot via the Global Hypergrowth project. The Global Hypergrowth project is a new scale-up service from the Canadian government that helps Canadian-based businesses develop further and faster. The new Innovative stream pilot will allow highly skilled workers to work in Canada without needing an LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment).

 

Jobs ranked in Tier categories 0,1,2,3 (Training, Education, Experience, and Responsibilities) are considered high-skilled jobs.

<h3>Eligibility criteria of Innovative stream pilot:</h3>

Here are the eligibility criteria that an employee will need to meet  for a work permit under the Innovative Stream pilot:

 

<ul>
	<li>Applicants must have a job offer from one of the eligible employers under the Global Hypergrowth project.</li>
	<li>Candidates must complete their work permit application using an IRCC secure Account.</li>
	<li>The Job must fall under a TEER 0,1,2,3 occupation per the NOC (National Occupational Classification).</li>
	<li>Offered wages should equal or exceed the median hourly wage.</li>
</ul>
