Vaccinated travellers can come to Canada without getting tested, no quarantine

Canada has made an announcement that people who are fully vaccinated can come to Canada, and they do not have to go for the COVID-19 test. The public health restrictions of Ottawa came into effect from March 4, 2022.

More relaxations for fully vaccinated immigrants

The fully vaccinated immigrants do not have to go for quarantine of 14 days. Self-isolation of children less than 12 years is also not required. Health Minister Jean-Yves Duclos has said that the country is fighting with the pandemic through science and prudence. The announcement is for candidates visiting Canada who are fully vaccinated.

Mandatory COVID-19 test can be done randomly on for all vaccinated people may be conducted, and this will be a good facility for traveling. This will also help the health authorities to keep a check on future changes made to COVID-19 restrictions and importation rates.

Rules for unvaccinated people

Unvaccinated immigrants will have to go for COVID-19 test. They also have to go for quarantine for 14 days. The immigrants will have the option of showing the result of the rapid antigen test. This test has to be taken 24 hours before boarding the flight. Molecular test result is also accepted, and that has to be taken 72 hours before boarding the flight. Unvaccinated people have to meet any of these exemptions to visit Canada.
