South Australia State Nomination updates for Subclass 190 & 489 Visa

South Australia has declared that the State nomination under Subclass 190 and 489 Visas will be closed on 25 June and reopen in the first week of July. This is in order to complete the fresh program year immigration system updates. The time and date will be announced in the first week of July.

In case applicants have begun the application for 190 or 489 visas, they need to file and pay for the application prior to the closing of the systems. Incomplete applications will be deleted from 9 am on 25 June. This is inclusive of applications that have been not submitted but saved. It is also inclusive of applications that are awaiting payment but are submitted, as quoted by the Australian.

South Australia has also updated the status of the below occupations to its SOL:

Advertising Manager – 131113 – Low Availability- Proficient Plus overall or Proficient English – Overseas applicants – Only Provisional 489 visa – AIM

Overseas graduates and skilled workers in South Australia that intend to obtain nomination must satisfy twin requirements. This includes those of Home Affairs Department and those for the nomination.

Applicants of nomination must demonstrate a commitment to reside and work in South Australia for 2 years from the date of arrival. This must be with a view for settling on a long-term in the State. They must also be below 45 years of age at the time of nomination.

The occupation of the applicants must be listed on the current State Nominated Occupation List.
