Saskatchewan'slatest PNP draw held on December 1, 2020, had invitations sent to 564 immigration candidates from the International Skilled Worker category. The invitations were issues via sub-categories namely Occupations In-demand and Express Entry.

The candidates who received invitations had work experience in select occupations.

Eligibility for PNP draw
  • The candidate must have an EOI profile submitted with the SINP.
  • The candidate must have a minimum EOI score of 74 to be invited.
  • Invited candidates had ECA.
  • The candidate must have work experience in one of the 86 stipulated occupations.
The candidates of the draw were required to demonstrate their commitment to building a life in Saskatchewan. For this, they had to showcase their education, work experience, age, language ability, and connections to the province.

The SINP has a system of assessment based on a score on the Points Assessment grid of the International Skilled Worker stream. The score out of 100 points is given by SNIP. The candidates who score the highest are sent ITAs to apply for a provincial nomination for Canada PR from Saskatchewan.

Express Entry 138 of the total invitations issued in the draw went to Express Entry candidates. These are candidates who have their profiles in the Express Entry pool. The Express Entry system of the federal government serves the purpose of managing the applications of candidates applying for Canada’s 3 main economic-class immigration programs namely FSTP, FSWP, and CEC. The Express Entry candidates who have filled out an EOI for Saskatchewan and have scored 74 points on SINP’s Points Assessment Grid, there’s all possibility of them been invited in the Dec 1 draw. If an Express Entry candidate gets a provincial nomination, he/she will be given 600 extra CRS points that will increase his/her chances of getting an ITA in an upcoming federal Express Entry draw. Occupations in-demand For those immigration candidates who don’t have a federal Express Entry profile, the Occupations In-demand sub-category is one to participate in. The program is meant for immigration candidates who have experience working in jobs that are short on labor in Saskatchewan.
