Ontario, Canada allows International students with job offer to apply for a PR visa

Highlights: Ontario is inviting international students with job opportunities to apply for a PR visa

• Ontario’s International Student stream allows international students to apply for PR on 5 December 2024.
• The job offer must be from a skilled occupation in the TEER category of 0, 1, 2, or 3.
• The OINP Expression of Interest System must invite the applicant to apply for PR.

Details of OINP draw:

The latest Ontario Draw was held on 5 December 2024. The OINP draw invited eligible candidates under the skilled occupation list in the TEER category. To receive an employment job offer, the international student must meet some requirements such as:

• Physicians and other self-employed are not on the list.
• Full-time and permanent
• Low wage level
• Position is urgently necessary to employer’s business
• Work based in Ontario

• Register an expression of interest
• Receive an invitation to apply.

• Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream – 6,456
• Employer Job Offer: International Student stream – 2,963
• Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills stream – 1,069
• Masters Graduate stream – 5,734
• PhD Graduate stream – 486
• Entrepreneur stream – 58

 

Applicant requirements for OINP draw:

• Expression of interest and invitation to apply.
• Education
• Valid licence or other authorization (if applicable)
• Intention to live in Ontario
• Legal status in Canada (if applicable)
• Application period
