• The points and the work experience are still applicable to Subclass 491.

Australian visa update: More skilled, parents visas in 2022-23

New update on Subclass 190, skilled migration program for 2022-2023

New South Wales changed the visa conditions of Subclass 190 for skilled migration for 2022-2023.

Subclass 190 (Skilled Nominated visa) usually requires work experience and minimum points.

This update was announced based on the statistics which were observed that there was a high application rate of 12,000 visa slots for Subclass 189, as it does not require work experience.

Hence the NSW immigration authorities removed minimum point scores and several years of work experience for Subclass 190.

But the requirements of Subclass 491 and Subclass 190 remain the same.

This will help the NSW nominees be aligned with the skills that are required by the economy of the state.

But the immigration authorities of NSW need to announce the dates that are applicable, for the rounds of invitations.

This update is been appreciated by many migrant agencies and immigrants, as they find Subclass 189 (Skilled Independent visa) to be more feasible as there are no restrictions like Subclass 190.

Subclass 491 visa

• The minimum points and the skilled experience are still required for Subclass 491
• The work experience will be waived off if anyone meets the requirement of ‘Study in Regional NSW'.

Subclass 189 visa

• There is no work experience required for this visa.
• The applicant's occupation must be listed in the Skilled Occupational List
