New UK post study work visa for international students makes a mark

The UK Home Office has come up with a new post study work visa intended for international students. It offers graduates the chance to apply for the right to stay in the UK for job experience after they are done with their university courses.

This new post study work visa is the Graduate Route visa. This was announced in 2020 by Priti Patel, the UK Home Secretary. It’s now open for applications.

The Graduate route is made for international graduates who have received their degree from a recognized university in the UK. The visa enables them to continue living in the UK and seek a job for a minimum of 2 years.

This new post study work visa route is for those called the “internationally mobile individuals”. It will also allow beneficiaries to get a visa extension and settle in the UK. They will do so subject to satisfying certain requirements.

The points-based immigration system of the Government of the UK will help talented students across the world now to get the chance to kick start their careers at the highest levels of science, business, arts, and technology in the UK. This fact was reiterated by Priti Patel as she gave her statement in the context.

She also stated that after international students receive their qualification from one of the UK’s education institutions, well-known for their excellence that’s recognized across the world, this new post study work visa will empower them with the freedom to bring their aspirations to realization and make great advancement in their careers.
