What are Manitoba Immigration Programs?
All the immigration programs are handled by the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program, which addresses all the immigration applications to the Canadian Federal Government. The provinces of Canada are not given the power to issue permanent residency status; instead, they can encourage and support the candidates through provincial nominations.
If the candidate wants to avail of the nomination through Manitoba, they need to apply an Expression of Interest with the Manitoba Provincial Program.
Manitoba ranks the candidates out of 1,000 points depending on their human capital factors and association with the province.
The two streams in Manitoba, namely, Skilled Workers Overseas Category and Skilled Workers in Manitoba, are designed to identify the desired candidates who meet their labor market needs.
