Canada immigration is surging ahead with more PNP and Express Entry draws.

Ontario conducted another Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) Tech draw on May 13, 2020.

703 Express Entry candidates invited to apply for a provincial nomination.

The invitees are eligible for permanent residence.

The candidates have work experience in technology sector jobs like:

  • Web designers and developers NOC 2175
  • Computer programmer and interactive media developers NOC 2174
  • Software engineers and designers NOC 2173
  • Database analysts and data administrators NOC 2172
  • Computer engineers NOC 2147
  • Computer and information systems managers NOC 0213

Invited candidates had a Comprehensive Ranking Score (CRS) of 421 to 451 points. This CRS is the lowest in the program’s history. This is a positive factor for the aspirants ready to move via immigration Canada.

Candidates invited in this draw will get 600 points added to their basic score if they get a provincial nomination. These added points can be used in an upcoming federal Express Entry draw.

Ontario’s Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP) are linked with Express Entry. 9 provinces of Canada have PNPs linked with Express Entry.

Candidates who got an invitation from Ontario or Notification of Interest (NOI) must be eligible for the Human Capital Priorities stream. The Human Capital Priorities Stream lets OINP find eligible candidates from the federal Express Entry pool.

Candidates needn’t have a job offer to be in the Human Capital Priorities stream. But they must have their profiles in the Express Entry pool.

The eligible candidates for the invitation are Express Entry candidates with a minimum of 1-year experience in a full-time job. It could also be an equivalent part-time job for which the candidate was paid.

The job experience must be in any of the 6 tech occupations stipulated.

These tech workers will help in Canada’s economic recovery post-COVID-19.
