Australia has been ranked as the fourth best nation in the world for immigrants as per the latest international research study. Australia received high scores for parameters such as job markets, income equality, and economic stability. These factors were used to assess nations across the world by News and World Report US to compile the ranking for best nations.
Sweden secured the first rank, followed by Canada at the second place. Switzerland secured the third place and Australia was ranked fourth followed by Germany at the fifth place.
The survey revealed that the US dipped below in its rankings owing to the apparent economic disparity, as quoted by the AU News Yahoo.
The number of individuals who participated globally in the survey for the best nations for immigrants was more than 21,000. The participants assessed more than 80 nations across the world for specific factors. Four important factors were preferred overseas destination, income equality, good job market and economic stability.
The results of the rankings were also determined by the statistics of immigrant population as per the UN and the World Bank.
One of the data reporters who assisted in designing the rankings Deidre McPhillips said that the methodology took in to account assimilation initiatives and immigration policies as per the UN data. He added that the survey focused on the economic aspects of overseas immigrants. The impact on the immigrated nation with respect to international position globally was also taken into consideration, said Deidre McPhillips.
