Alex Hawke, the Immigration Minister for Australia, has made an announcement regarding the change made for skilled-recognized graduate visa holders. These changes will help in the reduction of the demand of workforce in different sectors in Australia. The economy of Australia is performing better, and one of the reasons behind this boom is the demand in the housing sector.

Changes made to Skilled Recognised Graduate (Subclass 476) visa holders
This is a visa in which engineering graduates are given the permission to live in Australia, work, or study. These visa holders get the time mentioned in the visa along with a six months extension. Alex Hawke has said that The current and former visa holders will have the option of living in the country or entering the country. The deadline given is April 2024.
Many visa holders have lost their time due to pandemic, so they have been given extension, which will become effective in April 2022. The Department of Home Affairs will inform the visa holders about the extension. This rule will also be applied to the people whose visa has expired during the pandemic.
Changes made to Training (Subclass 407) visa holders
Morrison’s government gave support to the Australian businesses during the time of pandemic. The government has allowed the businesses to allow Student visa holders to work for the businesses for additional hours in the critical sectors.
As there is a shortage of workforce, the government has made an arrangement of the removal of limit to the working hours of the Training visa holders.
Changes made to COVID-19 Pandemic Event (Subclass 408)
People who are holding Australia temporary work visa do not have to pay any visa application charge for 6 to 12 months on the condition that they should be working in different sectors related to the Australian economy.
In the current scenario, people can get COVID-19 Pandemic Event visa without paying any visa application charge, and this facility has been given for 12 months.
