Canada to reopen VACs across the world

Visa application centres reopen

Canada is going to open its Visa Application Centers (VAC) around the world. They will give limited Canada immigration services to the clients.

With the VACs opening in different locations around the world, foreigners can finish their formality regarding biometrics, that is essential to get their applications for work visas, Canada study visa, visitor visas, and permanent residency.

Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is taking all precautions to ensure that people coming there adhere to guidelines like:

  • Social distancing
  • Frequent cleaning of hands
  • Use of masks and gloves

The staff and visitors will be subject to temperature checks.

The travel restrictions for foreigners will be there until June 30, 2020. Immigration Canada has made it mandatory that the reason for travel to Canada should be essential.

Immediate family members of Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada are eligible for exemptions. So are essential workers and students whose study permits were already approved before March 18, 2020.

Upon arrivals, the travelers must undergo a 14-day quarantine, and should be able to show an adequate quarantine plan to the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) officers.
