Highlights of BC PNP draw on October 12, 2022

  • The latest BC PNP draw led to inviting many more foreign nationals to British Columbia on October 12, 2022
  • A total of 374 Canada immigration candidates under the skilled immigration stream were offered nominations for Canada PR
  • The nominated candidates belonged to categories of skilled workers and international graduates
  • This is the second BC PNP draw in October 2022

In the BC PNP draw held on October 12, 2022, potential immigrants wanting to settle in British Columbia, from the international graduates and skilled workers categories were nominated for Canada PR. In the second draw conducted by the province, a total of 374 immigration candidates received offers of a nomination for permanent residence in Canada.

As you can see in the draw results, the invitations issued are targeted ones. They are applicable to the Skills Immigration categories. These invitations are decided based on one or more of certain factors involved in selecting candidates. These may be:

  • Level and field of education and where the studies were completed
  • Period and level of skill employed while gaining work experience
  • Language skills and proficiency level
  • The intention to live, work, and settle in a given region
  • The skill level and/or wage of the job offered
  • Strategic priorities
