Australia TSS Visa Nomination Requirements

Australia TSS Visa Nomination Requirements

Australia TSS Visa has implemented several changes to the nomination requirements. Below are some of the most important changes:

• The Australia TSS Visa is just accessible for positions of full time in nature. The 457 visas were available also for part-time positions.

• The period of nomination must be clearly specified in the application and this must be precisely one, two, three, or four years. This is to assist in the payment of the levy for training. The levy is based on the numbers of years the TSS Visa holders work in Australia, as quoted by the ACACIA AU.

• The rules for the TSS visa clearly specify that the nomination fees must be paid by the sponsor. This will be crucial when the training levy is launched. Earlier, it was not clear whether the employee could pay costs for the nomination of a 457 visa.

• The occupation being present on the approved list was a requirement for the time of decision for the nomination and visa for 457 streams. Thus the change of lists during processing was of disadvantage to the applicants. This is a requirement for the time of application for the TSS visa.

The Standard Business Sponsorship that is obtained after 18 March 2018 will have 5-year validity in the majority of the cases. Earlier, the validity was for a lesser time period in case of start-ups.
