Immigration Plan of Australia:

The Australian government's migration strategy provides a comprehensive vision for the country's migration system.

As the plan suggests, Australia will implement strict visa rules for students and low-skilled workers, aiming to slash its migrant intake by half over the next two years.

The Key move that will affect immigrants relocating to Australia:

  • Enhanced English Proficiency Requirements: Students who are willing to study in Australia will face more strict policies regarding English proficiency tests. This rule aims to provide a higher level of language proficiency to the student contributing to an enriched academic experience and improved integration.

  • Scrutiny on Second Visa Applications: This rule will allow a higher level of Scrutiny on second visa applications, particularly for those who are seeking an extension to stay. This will increase the scrutiny as a part of a broader effort to streamline the migration system and evaluate the genuine intent and contributions of individuals seeking extended stays in the country.
