Australia Skill select round held on August 23rd witnessed a decrease in required points for General Skilled Immigration giving big relief for many applicants. Non-Pro Rata occupations - Subclass 189 Skilled Independent Visa In the latest round, the minimum scores for an invitation for Subclass 189 Skilled Independent Visa reduced to 65 points from 70 points for non-pro-rata occupations. The waiting time is 30 weeks but it is expected to be reduced for the upcoming rounds. Auditors and Accountants The minimum scores in this Australia Skill select round for Auditors and Accountants remained at 75 points. In the following rounds for an invitation, the Electronics Engineers points are also expected to decrease to 65 points looking at their waiting times. Other Engineering specializations are also likely to witness a drop in points to 65 from 70 within a couple of next few rounds.
