Australia General Skilled Immigration updates for September reveal that in the Skill select round the required scores for most of the occupations continue to decrease. Priority Skilled Occupations List for 2017-18 has also been released by NSW. It will soon begin to nominate immigrant applicants for the Skilled 190 Nominated Visa, as quoted by the ACACIA AU. The mandatory score for Skilled Subclass Independent 189 Visa remains at 65 points for non-pro rata occupations. On the other hand, the waiting times for this score are now decreased to 1 week. Thus the required score can be expected to decrease further to 60 points in the next round of skill select invitation. Majority of the pro rata occupations remain steady in the Australia General Skilled Immigration category. But only the Accountant occupation required 85 points that were up from 75 points in the previous Skill select round. The same number of invitations was offered in the Skill select round held on 20 September with 239 invitations. So clarification from the DIBP has been sought as there are chances of error. The long-awaited Priority Skilled Occupations List has been released by NSW. It is expected that processing and invitations for Skilled Subclass Nominated 190 nominations will begin in the forthcoming weeks. The list for Family Sponsored and Independent visas and NSW is similar. The following occupations that are on the IFSOL have been added BY NSW: Stonemasons, Civil Engineering Technicians, ICT Security Specialists, Architect, Industrial, Electronics, Production, Chemical, and Plant Engineers. Several occupations that are not included in the IFSOL are now available through the NSW nomination. These include: Architectural Draftsperson, Enrolled Nurse, Cook, Baker, and Small goods Maker.
